Order Processing
Orders for in-stock items are processed and packaged for shipment within 1–2 business days of purchase. Orders placed on weekends, holidays, or during peak demand periods may require additional processing time.
Please note that online order processing will be temporarily paused for 7–10 days in February and again for 7–10 days in April. These pauses will be clearly announced in the shopping cart when applicable.
Tracking information will be provided within 72 hours of your order being placed.
During peak holiday seasons, processing and delivery times may be extended due to increased order volume and carrier delays.
Custom Orders
Customers interested in a custom design should use the contact form to share details about what they’re looking for. Custom orders are fulfilled in the order they are received, and timelines depend on material availability and design complexity.
Once all details are finalized, we will provide an estimated completion and delivery timeframe. After customer approval, a special custom order link will be issued for checkout.
Please note:
- Custom orders do not follow standard processing or shipping timelines
- Custom orders cannot be returned
- Design changes requested after checkout may incur additional charges and may restart the production timeline
Online Store & Storefront Inventory
All products are sold online, though some inventory is housed at our storefront. Storefront inventory updates may lag behind online sales.
If an item is purchased online but is unexpectedly out of stock at the storefront, one of the following options will be offered within an agreed-upon timeframe:
- A custom remake of the same item (if materials are available)
- A replacement item of equal value, chosen by the customer
- A full refund of the purchase price
Local Pickup
Free local pickup is available at Perry’s Farm and Found Market in Saranac, NY during their regular or posted holiday business hours.
- Orders will be ready for pickup after the standard 1–2 business day processing time
- You will be notified when your order is ready for pickup
- Use code PERRYS at checkout to select local pickup and avoid shipping charges
Domestic Shipping
Domestic orders ship via USPS or UPS with an estimated delivery time of 3–7 business days, in addition to processing time. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed and may be affected by weather or holiday volume.
Once a package is in the carrier’s possession, delivery timing is outside our control. Spool & Skein is not responsible for packages lost or stolen in transit. If your order does not arrive as expected, please contact the shipping provider listed in your tracking details.
If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, the customer is responsible for paying shipping costs to resend the package. Please double-check your shipping information at checkout.
International Shipping
At this time, we do not offer international shipping. Please check back for future updates to this policy.

- $1.00 for each additional item
- Free shipping on orders over $50.00 using code FREE50
Some larger or specially packaged items may be exempt from flat-rate or free shipping promotions. Any additional shipping costs will be clearly shown in your cart. We always aim to provide the most affordable shipping option while ensuring your item arrives safely.
We may update our shipping policies from time to time. Any order will be processed according to the policy in place when it was purchased.
