Are your items handmade?
Yes! My designs are crocheted, knitted, or sewn one piece at a time. Small variations in color, texture, and pattern are part of what makes each piece unique. Alongside handmade pieces, I occasionally include thoughtfully chosen accessories that pair beautifully with my designs.
How long will it take to ship my order?
In-stock items are typically processed and packaged within 1–2 business days. Orders placed on weekends, holidays, or during peak demand periods may require additional processing time. Standard domestic delivery usually takes 3–7 business days after shipping.
Do you offer local pickup?
Yes! Free local pickup is available at Perry’s Farm and Found Market in Saranac, NY during their regular business hours. Use code PERRYS at checkout to avoid shipping charges. You’ll be notified when your order is ready.
How much does shipping cost?
We offer flat-rate shipping of $2.95 for the first item and $1.00 for each additional item. Orders over $50.00 ship free when you use code FREE50 at checkout.
Do you ship internationally?
Not at this time. Spool & Skein currently ships within the United States only.
Do you accept custom orders?
Yes! Please use the contact form to share details about what you’re looking for. Custom orders are fulfilled in the order they are received, and timelines depend on material availability and design complexity.
Will my item look exactly like the photo?
Each piece is handmade, so no two items are exactly alike. Photos show the overall style and color range, but natural variations—especially in multi-color yarns—are expected.
Can I return or exchange an item?
Returns are accepted within 10 days of delivery for eligible items. Items must be unused and in original condition. Return shipping and a restocking fee apply. Custom orders are not eligible for return. Please see the Return Policy for full details.
What if I like an item but it’s already sold out?
If an item you love is sold out, feel free to reach out using the contact form. Depending on material availability, I may be able to create a similar piece, suggest a comparable item, or let you know if something similar is planned for a future restock.
How do I choose the right hat size?
Use the Hat Size Chart for guidance on measuring your head circumference and choosing the best fit. The lower end of a size range offers a looser fit, while the higher end provides a snugger fit.
How should I care for my handmade item?
Care instructions are included in the product listing when available and may also reference manufacturer care guidelines for materials used.
